Triumph and Trump

“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” – Romans 13:1

This is such a good passage of scripture for what is going on in the world today. You are living under a rock if you haven’t seen or heard all of the crude statements made by men and women regarding the leader of our country. Donald Trump was voted by the American people to be the president for the next 4 years. Our choices this year weren’t exactly between two creditable candidates. However, it was definitely a choice between God’s word and the flesh. Some people will look at Trump and only see the negative qualities in him. Sure, he isn’t your cookie cutter presidential candidate, he isn’t a strong christian leader, and he isn’t modest with his words. I do not want to focus on what he isn’t, instead let’s focus on what he is. He is a business man, he is a husband and father, he is the man that our creator placed into office. The president is not the person meant to lead us down a path to God or even show us how a man should live his life. Instead, he is there to govern the nation and bring back the patriotism and jobs we have all lost.

I trust in my decision to vote for Donald Trump. Not because he was the BEST candidate but because our morals and values of the Republican party line up to what God’s word tells us to do. I have been keeping up with all of the posts regarding the Women’s March on Washington and as a woman I am appalled at what this nation is capable of. I do not believe in abortion and Hilary did. That was a no brainer for me and my family on who to vote for. I do not support a woman who thinks it is ok to kill another human being all to extinguish our own guilt of what we CHOSE to do. Ladies, abortion is something so many of hear about on a daily basis. We all know of at least one woman who has had an abortion. It used to be so taboo to speak of such things publicly but now women feel the need to parade their sexuality and belittle themselves so much that they are willing to end a child’s life all for their own.

Women, do not feel I am shaming you because that isn’t my intention. I am pro-life it is simple as that. There are so many women across the country who are unable to conceive their own child and would kill for the opportunity to get pregnant on their own. However, they can’t. Meanwhile, there are tens of thousands of women each year getting abortions. There are more abortion clinics then walk in clinics to get birth control. As a christian woman all I can say is this. I would prefer my tax dollars to go to support women who need contraceptives or that don’t want to have an abortion and is willing to look at the option of a closed adoption.

As a mother and expecting mother, I could never fathom the idea of ending my child’s life all because we aren’t financially ready. God does not give us what we cannot handle. We are either equipped now to handle kids or we will be equipped once the next he or she arrives. Either way, He is taking care of us. He will walk you through it. He is there even when you think you are alone. Moms, please, if you know someone who is pregnant and considering abortion – just guide them and mentor them. Show them the joys of motherhood but also show them the faults. We aren’t all perfect and being a mom can be tough but it is also so rewarding.

Thanks and have a blissfully mindful day!
